High-Bay & Warehouse Lighting in Glasgow — Even Coverage, Lower Running Costs, Less Maintenance
High-bay lighting has to work harder than standard commercial lighting — covering large floor areas from significant ceiling heights, often running long hours. We install LED high-bay lighting systems that actually deliver even coverage and meaningfully lower running costs compared to older fluorescent or sodium fittings.
What's Included
- LED high-bay lighting for warehouses and large industrial spaces
- Lighting layouts planned for even floor coverage, not just fitting count
- Motion-sensor and zoned control options to cut running costs further
- Replacement of older fluorescent or sodium high-bay fittings
Often booked alongside our High-Bay & Warehouse Lighting: Warehouse & Industrial Electrical Installations — electrical installations for warehouses, factories, and industrial units across Glasgow.
Why Fitting Count Alone Doesn't Determine Good Coverage
A common mistake with high-bay lighting upgrades is simply matching the number of existing fittings with new LED equivalents, without recalculating for the actual output and spread of the new fittings. LEDs distribute light differently to older fluorescent or sodium fittings, so a like-for-like fitting count can genuinely leave a warehouse under- or unevenly lit even after an upgrade.
We calculate layouts from ceiling height, floor area, and the lux level appropriate to how each zone is actually used — a picking aisle and a loading bay don't need identical lighting, and treating them the same either overspends on fittings or leaves working areas under-lit.
